FOR TODAY...JULY 20, 2009

OUTSIDE MY WINDOW...The wind is gently blowing and it's really nice. I can hear the birds singing and dogs barking off in the distance (since it's nice enough that I don't have to have the AC going). I love mornings like this but if the weather man from last night is correct (and I don't know why I should doubt him...lol) then rain is moving in tonight and last for the next couple of days and it will be warmer and more humid...agggghhh. I was enjoying not have the AC going and being able to open the house up.

I AM THINKING...I need to get started on that laundry but just can't seem to get myself motivated so far. Oldest step-daughter and grandkids will be out in a few hours and I won't have time then...oh well, I guess they can wait another day...lol.

I AM THANKFUL FOR...the wonderful, weekend Everette and I had. We spent the whole weekend together...doing nothing much of anything but really enjoying each others company. I'm thankful for both my step-daughters and the relationship I have with them both. I'm thankful for unlimited texting cause they both text me lots of times to tell me little things going on in their lives throughtout the day. They are both pretty awesome. I'm thankful for my mom and my in-laws...they've helped so much when things have gotten tough. I'm especially thankful for our grandchildren. Even when I've had my worst day, they can make it all better with the love and kisses they shower on me everytime they see me. Nothing like little arms going around you in a great big hug to brighten any day.

IN THE KITCHEN...Last night we had steak, baked potatoes and corn on the cob....corn was super good. Tonight, depending on how things play out here, we'll probably be having hamburgers or spaghetti...depends. We may even be eating down at my in-laws...like I said, depends on how things play out the rest of the day.

I AM WEARING...grey capris and a blue print top.

I AM CREATING...nothing going on...still trying to recoop from my fall so not getting too creative lately.

I AM READING...the Bible and "Night Light".

I AM GOING...down to my mother-in-law's house in a couple of hours...other than that, no plans yet.

I AM HOPING...to start on our other house again soon. My mom and in-laws have convinced me to give my injuries another week before getting back on that. The major thing left on the place is the master bath...which the guys will have to take care of anyway... the rest is just painting.

I AM HEARING...The ceiling fan going...and the birds singing outside. The trees are rustling some but other than that, it's complete silence...oh, my cell just went off with another text from our oldest daughter.

AROUND THE HOUSE...Nothing much new here. Need to get started on packing and separating stuff to be moved...but again, lack the motivation at the moment...lol.

ONE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS...I've really come to appreciate my unlimited texting...you can relay messages to anyone without actually having to find the time to call...at times it makes it easier...and especially for youngest daughter, she's working at that camp and she can text little messages during her breaks and stuff...so I get to hear from her and know things are going ok with her.

A FEW PLANS FOR THE WEEK...so far, no plans for the week...still just trying to take it somewhat easy so my back can heal. No other plans so far.

FOR TODAY---JULY 5, 2009
OUTSIDE MY WINDOW: It's cloudy, cool and looks like it's going to rain. Lovin' the cool weather...was able to turn off the air conditioner and open up the house for a change.
I AM THINKING: I am thinking I am too old to be having these busy weekends like we've had the past few weeks. I'm also thinking I'm not liking this computer as well as my laptop and hoping that hubby gets my laptop working again soon...lol.
I AM THANKFUL FOR: So, very much...I'm thankful for the freedom that all our military have fought for us. I am thankful for all the blessings that God has given me...a wonderfully loving husband who tells me daily how much he loves me and who shows me in so many little ways that he does love me...it helps to overlook the times he makes me mad....lol. I am thankful for my step-daughters, who also tell me they love me often...yeah, even when they get on my nerves, too...lol...cause I'm sure I never get on their nerves any...lol. I'm thankful for my mother and in-laws. They are truly the best and I'm blessed with a wonderful relationship and closeness with them all. I'm am truly blessed and thankful for our grandchildren. There is no feeling in the world like walking into a room where they are and having them come running to me, screaming, "Nee Nee!!" and showering me with hugs and kisses. And when I leave, I always have to give them hugs and kisses about 1/2 a dozen times before they will let me leave. I am thankful for so many online friends I've become reaquinted with and some that I've come to know thanks to this technology of the internet. I have so much to be thankful for but that's whats on my mind at the moment.
FROM THE KITCHEN: Are you kidding me? Haven't been home long enough to do much cooking lately. Fixed pizzas Friday night...and the frozen ones at that...with added toppings, of course. Last night, we ate with my mother (it was her birthday). I did make hubby and I breakfast this morning...which consisted of scrambled eggs with cheese (and mine had mushrooms) and sausage links and coffee (can't forget the coffee...must have coffee...lol). Not sure what I'll fix tonight...ummm.
I AM WEARING: Navy capris and a yellow print top and my slippers that my mother-in-law made me.
I AM CREATING: Not a thing at the moment...except the beginnings of a headache...lol
I AM READING: Other than the Bible, hubby and I have started reading, "Night Light"...a Christian Couples Devotional that my friend, Crystal Jefferys said her and hubby are reading together and really enjoying.
I AM GOING: Not for sure yet, but we might be going with my in-laws to West Virginia this week. It depends on the in-laws at this point. We should know for sure tomorrow.
I AM HOPING: the weather continues to stay cool like this. I hate having to close up everything keep the air conditioner going. I am also hoping things work out for our youngest daughter...she's testing her wings in so many areas right now. She's still trying to let God guide her in some of cause she discussed one situation with me yesterday, wondering how God would react and I told her she needed to take that up with God because only He could tell her that. I am hoping that God's will is done concerning the upcoming, maybe, trip to West Virginia. If it's meant to happen, I hope it will. So many different things may cause it not to work out. Both my in-law's health...plus, I'm not even sure if I could stand the trip cause of my fibromyalgia...been having lots of problems with that lately...but we all want to go pretty bad so we will just have to leave it in God's hands.
I AM HEARING: Not much of anything right at this moment except the keys as I type...the ceiling fan and hubby is watching some movie on TV.
AROUND THE HOUSE: not much changed around here since last post...got laundry done yesterday. Hubby got the lawn mowed. Oh yeah, our dog, Tonka, chased a possum into the motor of an old jeep we have in our side yard. The possum got hung in there and Tonka had jumped onto the motor barking at the poor thing. Hubby had to get it out...I think Tonka was disappointed when Hubby got his new toy out....lol.
ONE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS: I'm loving Facebook...there is so many reasons why. I'm loving getting reaquainted with old friends and schoolmates and finding new ones. I even love Farmtown, as corny as that sounds...and yes, corn is one of my biggest crops...lol.
A FEW PLANS FOR THE WEEK: Finding out if we are indeed going to West Virginia...and if we are, getting things lined up for the trip. If not...the only thing I know of is plans for next weekend...told I had to make a huge batch of pasta salad for a cookout we're suppose to be going to on Saturday...if we don't go to West Virginia with the in-laws.
