FOR TODAY---JUNE 30, 2009

OUTSIDE MY WINDOW...It's sunny and clear...but I hear rain and storms are coming for tomorrow night that will be here through the whole holiday weekend. Glad they are calling for the cooler weather to stick around some though.

I AM THINKING...about all this stuff I need to do around here...just don't have the energy though after the long weekend I just had.

I AM THANKFUL...for our good friends and family. Got to spend good quality time with my husband, Valarie, my mom, my sister, my nephew Jordon, and our friends Charles & Katie in Hollister, at various times the past four days. I am thankful that my mom's doctor visit yesterday came out well. I'm thankful for so much...Thank you, Lord, for all that You have given me and all that You give me everyday.

FROM THE KITCHEN...Ha Ha...this has been easy the past four days...Friday night, we just grabbed some Arby's on the way back from getting Valarie at camp. Saturday, my sister cooked for us while we were visiting with her. Sunday, we were blessed with the hospitality of our friends, Charles and Katie, while visiting them in their home. Yesterday, I was with mom in Springfield all day so I made toasted tuna salad sandwiches and we had chips to go with that. Hubby loves this so it went over really good. Tonight, he wants biscuits and gravy so that will be vary simple...have had it made for a while in the kitchen...another thing I am truly thankful for because it's nice to get a repreive from that every once in a while.

I AM WEARING...grey capris and a purple shirt...and the slippers my mother-in-law made me...loves these slippers.

I AM CREATING...nothing new this week...except this blog...too busy! Looking forward to getting back into my scrapbooking though...collecting lots of pictures and stuff for books...especially with my grandkids.

I AM READING...other than the Bible...I am starting to read some inspirational marriage books that I found at a yardsale last week. Haven't gotten into the "Night Light" devotional yet...we just haven't had the time...and I know Crystal, that's the whole point...we plan on getting into that though.

I AM GOING...absolutely nowhere...for a couple of days...I hope.

I AM HOPING...to not get sick...for one. For another, I want things to slow down so we can get to work again at our other place. I so want to get that done but so many things just get in the way.

I AM HEARING...nothing but the hum of the air conditioner and the dryer. I hadn't done laundry since last Thursday and I wasn't here yesterday so trying to get caught up on that...plus I change sheets on our beds on Monday's and I wasn't here yesterday so that got done this morning. Last load is in the washer. Still have 1st load waiting on me to fold and put away though.

AROUND THE HOUSE...everything still pretty much the same...stuff EVERYWHERE. Can't wait to get moved and organized.

ONE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS...the way hubby sends me little texts while he's at work..."Just wanting to let you know I'm thinking of you and loving you more and more." And he even sends me songs that remind him of me or pictures of himself to me on the cell. He's so sweet. I love that man!

A FEW PLANS FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK: Don't really have any plans so far other than getting caught up around here...answering emails...and trying to get some rest so I don't get sick.
