Outside my window...there is lots of sunshine and dew on the tree leaves and grass from the rain we got last night. It's hot and humid outside.
I am thinking...alot about my Dad lately. Father's Day was this past Sunday so I guess that's why he's been on my mind alot recently. It's been over 3 years since he died and I still miss him.
I am thankful for...so many things. My husband that God has blessed me with. We celebrated our 2 year Wedding Anniversary 2 days ago. I'm thankful for the two daughters that my husband shares with me. Even though I didn't give birth to them and I've only known them for a short while, I love them both dearly and I cherish the great relationship I have with them both. I'm thankful for the 5 grandkids we have. I love them all dearly and love being "Grandma Nee Nee". They can make any day wonderful. There is no feeling better than walking into a room and having children scream, "Nee Nee" and come running to hug and kiss you. I love it. I'm thankful for my Mom and all my old family and my new family I acquired on the day I married my husband. I love the closeness I have with every single one of them and how they all make me feel a part of them.
From the kitchen...I'm thinking hubby and I will work on some of the leftovers we have in the fridge...we are trying to work really hard in not letting food go to waste. And it's leftover meatloaf, mashed potatoes and corn, for the most part, which is one of his favorite meals.
I am wearing...navy capris, a blue printed top and slippers that my mother-in-law made me.
I am creating...a cookbook for the Mullins' side of the family. My mother-in-law has so many cookbooks, recipes and family favorites that I decided to try to put it all in a book. I've got most of the recipes typed up and saved on my laptop and got a rough copy made up. I want to add stories and pictures to the finished book...then I will need to make copies for everybody...and the recipes keep growing. I have more than 500 recipes now. I love it.
I am going...to be super busy the rest of the week and weekend. Tomorrow, I am spending the day with my Mom...not sure what all we're doing...maybe going to garage sales in the morning. Tomorrow evening, Everette and I will be going to pick up our youngest daughter, Valarie, from her job at camp. She only gets Saturdays off and then she's back at camp by noon on Sundays. She loves the job though. Saturday, we are going to my sister's house in Ozark for the day. On Sunday, after we take Valarie back to camp, hubby and I are going down to Branson to visit with our friends that live there. Monday, Mom is wanting me to go to Springfield with her. She has a doctors appointment then we will meet my sister for lunch and then go do some shopping. Tuesday, I'll probably be sleeping in and recouping...lol.
I am reading...other than my Bible, I'm not really reading anything at the time...too busy.
I am hoping...things will settle down soon and we can get started working on our other home so we can get moved in before too much longer.
I am hearing...the dryer going with the last load of clothes for the day...and the air conditioner...did I tell you it's hot and humid outside? The heat index has been over 100 for several days. Too hot for me.
Around the house...is a mess. My husband is a major pack-rat for one...and there is also all kinds of computers, monitors, parts, etc EVERYWHERE! Hubby and our friend in Branson have this side business going on rebuilding computers and selling. Our friend does the changing or fixing of the motherboard and whatnot, then Hubby takes them and adds programs and works on any little glitches in the computer...then he sells them. So far, it's just by word of mouth but if it keeps up like it has been, then we will start advertizing and stuff. But there is stuff everywhere...with barely any room to walk around. When we move to the other place next door, this will become Hubby's workshop so it will all stay here.
A few plans for the rest of the week...are stated above...didn't see this before so it's already answered. Mom's tomorrow, getting Valarie tomorrow night, my sister's Saturday, visiting friends in Branson Sunday, Springfield on Monday...recooping on Tuesday...lol.
Here is picture I thought I'd share...It's the picture of my Dad at the beginning of this post...I can't figure out how to move it down here so it will have to do until I can figure this out...lol.
I love it Anita!!! You did a great job. I love getting a glimpse into others lives. It helps you connect with them :)
